- Sheet of four Victorian Motor Spirit Ration Tickets, divided by perforations. Each ticket is for 2 gallons.These particular tickets may date to 1941, when the 2 gallons tickets were printed in blue. They were issued to Mavis Narracott.
Petrol rations tickets were first issued in October 1940 during WWII. Rations were lowest between 1941 and 1944, and thus public transport became more popular. Petrol rationing ceased in 1949. These ration tickets were produced by the Note Printing Branch of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Victoria Street, Fitzroy. - Description:
- Sheet of light beige paper with dark flecks in it, printed with four tickets in blue ink. Paper has perforations between tickets.
