- Thirty two page booklet dating from 1940-50s, advertising the Charles Hope kerosene refrigerator (fridge), titled 'Instructions for the Installation, Operation and Maintenance of the Charles Hope Cold Flame Refrigerator... with Recipes'. The brochure was printed and distributed in Australia by Charles Hope Ltd and Charles Industries Pty Ltd. Charles Hope refrigerators were made in Brisbane.
The brochure includes instructions for installing, starting, regulating temperature, defrosting and maintaining the kerosene powered model of refrigerator. These instructions feature black and white illustrations as well as text. There is also information on the design and construction of this refrigerator. The bulk of this brochure is devoted to recipes for food that has components that require refrigeration - including desserts, iced drinks, ice cream, salads, salad dressings, jellied meats and fish, and sandwich fillings. There are also several blank pages for customers to write down their own recipes. - Description:
- Thirty two page booklet with colour cover. Inside pages are white, with black text and feature coloured illustrations of recipes. The Charles Hope logo is also tinted pink.

these were available in the west from the lamp man but he has since past away so now we are stuck
