Heavy wooden cell door with peephole and locks from a single room at Beechworth Mental Hospital, Victoria, Australia, circa 1900 - Description:
- Heavy wooden door has double layer of panelling running downwards on outside and across on inside. Has lock as well as heavy bolts (vertical) top and bottom. Has trumpet-shaped brass peep-hole (narrow end outside) with small brass plate above it in centre of top half of door. Has metal grid, with 4 vertical slits, near bottom of door.
